PRIX MÖBIUS NORDICA (PMN) BACKGROUND

The Nordic media culture competition Prix Möbius Nordica (PMN) was founded in 2000 by media artist Marita Liulia who is also competition director. The purpose of the competition is to support and increase international visibility and distribution of media culture productions of the Nordic area.

Prix Möbius International des Multimedias (PMI) was founded in France in 1992. Since the beginning, it has been a pioneer competition in its field – non-commercial, independent, dedicated to supporting high-quality media culture. Its further purpose is to follow and support the development of digital scriptwriting and technologies. The partners include UNESCO, CNRS, and the European Union. The winners of local semifinals are invited as candidates for Prix Möbius International, where the highest quality productions are awarded.
