| | Prix Möbius Nordica 2007
Prix Möbius Nordica 2007 is the fifth Nordic competition (earlier competitions were titled Prix Möbius Finlande). This year we are inviting the Baltic countries Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia to join and introducing a new prize: Prix Möbius Nordica Experimental.
The competition will be held on March the 30th 2007 at the Kiasma Museum of Contemporary Art in Helsinki, during the PixelAche festival.
Winners will participate to the Prix Möbius International 2007, in Paris, France.
Prix Möbius Nordica aims to:
- support Nordic and Baltic media culture production and advance their international recognition
- create networks for actors within the sector (authors, artists, producers, publishers), researchers and students
- clarify quality standards and give an overview of the status and development of new media culture
- advance the completion and distribution of productions and works
Possible formats of the entries are for example CD ROM, DVD, Internet, or wireless network. The organizers also welcome productions utilizing new platforms (e.g. digital television) or new genres (e.g. virtual communities and software art). The works should meet high standards as to their content, audiovisual appearance and (interface) design, as well as general technical competence. Company presentations or technical platform presentations are not included in the competition.
