RULES

The goals of Prix Möbius Nordica are to:

  • support Nordic media culture production and advance its international recognition
  • create networks for actors within the sector (authors, producers, publishers), researchers and students
  • clarify quality standards and give an overview of the status and development of new media culture
  • encourage the completion of productions, and train authors to public presentation
Selection of the works: You can enter the competition by completing the entry form, downloadable at the web site of the competition, and by sending five copies of your work (CD ROM or DVD) for pre-selection. The jury of the pre-selection process consists both of the competition organizers and various experts. The works that pass the pre-selection stage will be presented to the jury and the audience at a zapping event. Respected experts will be invited to the Jury from each participant country.

Rules and criteria: The competition is open to interactive cultural content productions, products or artworks that are published in 2004-2005 and created by authors based in the Nordic countries.

Possible formats of the entries are for example CD ROM, DVD, Internet, or wireless network. The organizers also welcome productions utilizing new platforms (e.g. digital television) or new genres (e.g. virtual communities and software art). The works should meet high standards as to content, audiovisual appearance and (interface) design, as well as general technical competence. Company presentations or technical platform presentations are not included in the competition.

The productions as well as the completed entry form must be at Medeia Ltd on Tuesday, November 15, 2005 at 3pm Finnish time at the latest.
